IT and finance specialist recruitment firm Altra Executives will be creating new future jobs through the launch of their Coleraine office, based at Enterprise Causeway.
The firm’s Managing Director and former nurse Fiona Cameron described how the new office comes as there is now a higher demand for jobs across the North Coast and Derry/Londonderry.
The company matches IT and finance professionals with global brands such as Jimmy Choo and Cosmopolitan. Fiona said: “Every company has an internal finance and technology team so we help them recruit in their time of need; whether it’s a restructure, systems implementation or if they’re building a new app.”
Fiona previously spotted a gap in the Northern Ireland market to encourage candidates to come ‘back home’ and combat the current local tech skills shortage.
The budding entrepreneur started the business in her living room in London, 5 years ago and the firm has since gone on to open their second office in Belfast’s River House.
Fiona wants to share her own determination with recruitment applicants, as she explained: “In London I went to one of the biggest recruitment firms in the world six times before they would hire me; because I was a nurse, they didn’t think I would be able to do it.”
